Beauty Cast Network Launches Fourth Annual “Pathway to Beauty Careers” Initiative at ASCA National Conference

National collaboration expands career awareness for millions of students while debuting the new Pathway to Beauty Counselor Guide.

NEW ORLEANS, La. — July 2026 — Every year, millions of students make life-changing career decisions, yet many have never been introduced to the incredible opportunities available in the professional beauty industry. Recognizing the influential role school counselors play in shaping those decisions, Beauty Cast Network is returning to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Annual Conference, July 11–13 in New Orleans, for the fourth consecutive year to lead its growing Pathway to Beauty Careers: Building Awareness, Opportunity & Workforce Readiness initiative.

Now in its fourth year, Pathway to Beauty Careers has become a national movement dedicated to helping school counselors better understand today’s professional beauty industry and the rewarding careers available in cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, wellness, and related fields. By connecting counselors directly with industry leaders, schools, employers, and educational resources, the initiative helps position beauty as a respected, first-choice career pathway.

This year’s initiative also celebrates the release of the Pathway to Beauty Counselor Guide, published by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) in collaboration with Beauty Cast Network. Created specifically for school counselors, the guide provides current information on career pathways, educational options, workforce demand, earning potential, industry trends, and the many opportunities available throughout the professional beauty industry.

The initiative is made possible through the collaboration of an outstanding coalition of beauty schools, employers, publishers, associations, and industry organizations that share a common vision of strengthening the future workforce through education and awareness.

Beauty Cast Network is especially proud to welcome back the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) as a participating partner this year. Representing beauty schools across the nation, AACS’s renewed participation reflects a shared commitment to ensuring school counselors have access to meaningful, accurate information about professional beauty education and the career opportunities available to today’s students.
