AACS works hard to protect the rights of beauty, barber and wellness students and school owners at all levels of government with active Federal, State, and Accreditation Committees. The AACS Government Relations Committee (GRC) is comprised of dedicated volunteers that work with the AACS public policy advisor and the AACS Executive Director to advocate for the rights and need of our industry.

The AACS government relations team actively monitors state and federal legislative and proposed rules to determine their effect on our sector of education.  The government relations team depends on active participation of our members to engage our elected officials to share our support and opposition to legislation effecting beauty, barber, and wellness education.
