Recipient Recognized for Outstanding Commitment to Cosmetology Education
Boston, MA, July 22, 2024– Milady, a leading provider of beauty and wellness education solutions, and the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) presented the 2024 N.F. Cimaglia Award to Samantha Ferreira of Philadelphia, PA, a dedicated contributor to the beauty and wellness industry.
The Cimaglia Educator of the Year Award is co-sponsored by Milady and the American Association of Cosmetology Schools. It is a prestigious award given to one educator each year who has exhibited significant contributions toward professional standards and educational excellence, particularly within the areas of student involvement. To be eligible for the award, candidates must currently be employed in the industry, have at least three (3) years of active employment as an educator, and be able to provide evidence of significant contributions to beauty education during the immediate past year. This year’s award was presented during the 2024 Career Educators Alliance (CEA) Conference at The Royal Sonesta Hotel Galleria in Houston, TX.
Sam is an educator with Empire Beauty School in Philadelphia, PA. When she was 5 years old, her passion for the beauty industry was ignited as she watched people leave her dad’s salon with beautiful transformations and smiles on their faces. Her approach in incorporating project-based learning allows aspiring educators to see their vision come to life and gain confidence in showcasing their cosmetology skills, and her mindset on seizing every opportunity to continue learning and expanding her knowledge base is what makes her this year’s outstanding educator.
