AACS Announces 2024 Golden School Award Winners

The American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) named 10 campuses as Golden School Award winners during the 2024 Annual Conference held at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria. The winning schools were among over 170 total campuses that entered this year’s contest in an effort to set themselves apart as among the best in the beauty, barber, and wellness education sector. A panel of judges reviewed entries to determine the winners in the following categories, based on various details as set forth in the judging criteria developed by AACS. This year’s winners are:

School of the Year: Elaine Sterling Institute

Advocacy: Cameo College of Essential Beauty

Community Involvement: Cameo College of Essential Beauty

Facilities (tie): Aveda Frederic’s Institute – Indianapolis and Long Island Nail Skin & Hair Institute 

Legacy Alumni: Crave Beauty Academy – Wichita

Marketing Innovation: Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology – Goose Creek

Placement: Alexander Paul Institute of Hair Design

School Culture: Eric Fisher Academy

Student Salon & Spa: Keune Academy
